Have you guys been wondering where I’ve been all year? Why I haven’t published anything? And why my hair looks like an abandoned bird’s nest? (It does. Trust me.)

Well. It’s because I’ve been writing my booty off all year (seriously—I’m now buttless) so I could put out some awesome-possum books for you guys in 2014! And guess what? I have news.

HUGE news.

*takes deep breath*

grandcentralSay whaaaaaaaat?

Ahh! πŸ™‚ I can’t even TELL you how flipping excited I am! *shakes out hands* I cried tears of joy when I first found out. I really did. There were tears, and boogers, and a really creeped-out server at my breakfast table.

I was having brunch when my incredible agent, SUZIE-amazing-TOWNSEND, called me with the news, and my poor waiter was like, “Um…Miss? Can I get you a tissue? Or maybe a To-Go box?” To say the other restaurant patrons were curious-slash-horrified at my behavior is an understatement. At one point, I think I squealed in glee while at the same time sobbing. Very confusing for onlookers, I’m sure.

As a side note: Thank you to my super hot husband for letting me fall apart at the table and taking the whole scene in stride. Despite my best efforts, I can’t seem to embarrass that man or shake his laid-back demeanor. God love my soul mate.

As a second side note: Thanks to my very cool children who WERE embarrassed, but were quickly consoled when I let them eat my chocolate chip pancakes. (Yes, I order like a child.)

But enough about me, let’s talk about the BOOKS!

The three-book deal with Grand Central is for publishing my latest book, BEST KIND OF BROKEN, as a series—of sorts. (All three books will be stand-alones, but with overlapping characters.) BEST KIND OF BROKEN is a New Adult romance scheduled to release in SPRING OF 2014!

So while I know it’s been a LONG wait for you, my super fly readers, there is an end in sight—and it’s only six months away! Hollaaaaa! (Wow. I’m super gansta in this post. Sorry, yo.)

Here’s a little summary of BEST KIND OF BROKEN:

The summer before her sophomore year of college, Pixie takes a job working at Willow Inn for the free room and board—only to discover that her free room shares a hallway and a bathroom with the one guy she was hoping to avoid for the rest of her life: Levi Andrews. Despite both their best efforts to keep the past locked away, memories start popping up all over the place. And to make matters worse, there’s a new sexual tension in the air that doesn’t seem to be going away either. Welcome to the hallway of awkward tension and sexual frustration, folks. Get comfy. It’s going to be a looong summer.

Ahhh!!! I’m so excited for you guys to read it! (You can read a few sneak peek excerpts HERE.)

thank-youAnd I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for believing in me and supporting me! It’s because of YOU that any of this—ALL of this—is possible!

You guys make my dreams come true. You really do.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go cry and squeal some more…

Love your guts! πŸ™‚

  3. You changed your layout. Looks nice.

This is amazing news and I can’t wait to read them! Keep us updated! I want to preorder on day one! Seriously, you know I’m going to read anything you write. You could write about mud and I would read it. Haha. You should do a horror thriller. Just because I can never read horror, but I bet your writing style would allow it. I mean, if you can make such a melancholy tale like Archer of Avalon not leave me feeling utterly depressed, then you can just do no wrong.

In other news, chocolate chip pancakes are amazing. Have no shame. The only thing better are cinnabon pancakes, which I shouldn’t have because of that allergy to cinnamon, but I don’t care.

    • Haha. OMG, I love you. Maybe I’ll write a horrer thriller ABOUT mud—just to keep things interesting. πŸ˜‰ And cinnabon pancakes sound AMAZING. Allergies can suck it.

    • Ahh! πŸ™‚ I love hearing that! My AoA trilogy was SO MUCH FUN To write! *sigh* I miss it.
